ECCI Seniors

The Eastside Concerned Citizens, Inc. (ECCI) Senior Citizens Enrichment Program provide a variety of services and resources focused on enhancing the quality of life for all senior citizens who reside within the ECCI geographical boundaries. Because of the needs of seniors who do not live in ECCI catchment area, ECCI’s Senior Citizens Enrichment Program offers services to all seniors in the community.

The main focus of the Senior Citizens Enrichment Program is to provide avenues for seniors to have a safe place to be rather than isolated at home, provide support in seeking and understanding services and resources in the community and to utilize the “wisdom” of seniors to improve and enhance ECCI overall. One of the new programs established by the Senior Program is the “No One Hungry In Our Neighborhood”. ECCI in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank provide seniors and their families with a “Brown Bag” of groceries once per month. These brown bags serve as supplements to seniors’ monthly income.

Other services provided by the Senior Program are:

  • Bingo
  • Ceramics
  • Crocheting
